A Hub of Excitement in Peterborough City Council
Having been a Zipporah client for several years, Peterborough Council were keen to enhance their partnership with Zipporah by pushing forward with the latest version of their Registrar core diary solution including moving to Zipporah for hosting, adding a payment integration and an exciting brand-new ceremony module.
Peterborough was keen to see just how much the Zipporah system has evolved over the years. The council has been looking to enhance their digital strategy and knew that the latest bought of core diary functionality and new integrations would do just that. Peterborough Council made the decision to upgrade their current Zipporah solution and overhaul their Registrar’s department.
A number of demonstrations were carried out to show the benefits to be had by implementing the enhanced Zipporah Registrar core diary. Working closely with the Zipporah sales team – Peterborough’s Senior Registrar was impressed by the increased functionality that their current system would see following the upgrade as well as the enhancement to their ceremonies offerings with the ceremony planner module.
Peterborough Council has always been impressed by the Zipporah Registrar solution and the move to offer more Registrar services online was the natural next step. Implementing the copy certificates module and payments integration will off the public to book and pay for all certificates upfront – minimising cash handling discrepancies and the need for manual intervention during the appointment – reducing time spent carrying out menial tasks.
Excitement has been building within the department for the implementation of the Ceremony Planner module which was very well received throughout the demonstration process. The solution will allow citizens to book, pay for fees/deposits and plan their day from start to finish long before they walk down the aisle and say ‘I DO.’ With the public facing ceremony hub, citizens are able to make choices for their day from the comfort of their own home 24/7 365 – giving couples the opportunity to make those decisions outside the regular Registrar office opening hours, ultimately, improving internal workflow for their staff and taking the frustration away for the public.
Peterborough Council has been working towards a complete digital transformation over the years and immediately saw the value and benefits that these new features and modules would add to the Council and greatly enhance their digital strategy. With a number of additional functionality integration in the pipeline for Peterborough Council such as document upload, we can safely say that Peterborough is officially a ‘can do’ council!
