Interpreting Birmingham Council’s needs to offer the best Zipporah solution!
Birmingham city council was looking for a solution to manage the multiple and varied resources within their busy Interpretation and Translation Team.
Having previously worked with Zipporah on the Lateral Flow Booking System – Birmingham approached Zipporah for a demonstration of its scheduling system after hearing positive reviews and the benefits of using the Scheduler for Interpreters and Translators solution.
After seeing a comprehensive system demonstration, Birmingham realised the full potential of the Zipporah product and the scope of opportunity to enhance and streamline its services.
Zipporah was able to automate several manual tasks thus saving hours and hours of valuable staff time, including automation of staff allocations based on relevant skills, and the generation of accurate quotations based on time spent on location. The integration into the payment engine allows for the introduction of online payments for customers and provides a comprehensive, financial management reporting suite for accurate and detailed statistical data. We have also seen the adoption of a jobs board that highlights all the jobs available for translators over the coming weeks, giving them the freedom to choose which jobs they would like assigned to them.
Birmingham council has often been a leader in digital transformation and constantly strives to push for innovation and change.
